Our Story

From a Swiss blacksmith shop in 1807 to your North American winery.

BVNA is the North American partner for Bucher Vaslin and a curated group of European winemaking suppliers. Our roots reach back more than 200 years. Today, our team in Santa Rosa supports wineries across the United States and Canada with equipment, winemaking products, parts, and service.

About BVNA

Small team. Deep roots.

Our parent company, Bucher Industries, is a Swiss industrial group of more than 12,000 employees and five divisions, each a leader in its specific field. The winemaking equipment side of that group is Bucher Vaslin, and BVNA is its North American subsidiary.

From our team in Santa Rosa, we supply and support the complete process of wine production for wineries across the United States and Canada. Alongside Bucher Vaslin, we represent five European partner brands that round out the catalog from grape reception through bottling.

Milestones

From 1807 to today.

Two centuries of Bucher craft, three decades of building it out in North America.

1807

A Swiss blacksmith shop

Heinrich Bucher opens the Murzeln blacksmith shop in Niederweningen, Switzerland. It will grow over generations into Bucher Industries, today a Swiss industrial group with five divisions.

1992

BVNA founded in California

Bucher Industries acquires KLR Machines in Sebastopol. The office grows into Bucher Vaslin North America and eventually settles in Santa Rosa. Presses, destemmers, spare parts, and service form the founding catalog.

2008

Partnership with Costral

BVNA adds bottling solutions to the catalog. Costral has built bottling lines for wine, juice, spirits, and beer for more than 45 years.

2011

Partnership with CAZAUX

CAZAUX pumps join the lineup. CAZAUX is France's leading manufacturer of pumps for wine, alcohol, and food liquid production.

2018

Partnership with Lamothe-Abiet

The full Lamothe-Abiet catalog of oenological products joins BVNA, drawing on 140+ years of French enology research. Now we offer complete winemaking solutions from grape to bottle.

2021

BVNA online

The new BVNA website launches, making it easier for wineries across North America to shop the catalog and access technical resources. The team grows and expands into a second Santa Rosa warehouse.
